About The Position

Working directly within the Pharmacy Department, this position is responsible for preparing prescriptions for shipment, triaging incoming calls from both patients and providers, and providing superior service to patients. This position is responsible for ensuring that prescriptions are accurately and efficiently. Injured Workers Pharmacy (IWP) is proud to be THE Patient Advocate Pharmacy, helping injured workers around the country access their prescription medications with ease. Requirements

• Massachusetts Registered Technician License in good standing
• Demonstrates computer acumen including typing, functional computer knowledge, and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position including standing or sitting for up to 8 hours per day

Nice To Haves

• Certified Pharmacy Technician License
• 2 years relevant pharmacy experience
• Retail, long-term care or mail order experience
• Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Enter prescription information into system to be verified by the Pharmacist
• Assist in prescription preparation including selection of correct medication, accurately counting, bottling, and labeling prescriptions in preparation for shipment.
• Prepare and consolidate patient prescriptions for shipment.
• Assist in inventory activities including replenishment of pharmacy stock and supplies.
• Ensure the pharmacy is clean and organized and filling stations are restocked throughout the day.
• Provide superior patient service including triaging incoming phone calls, confirming prescription accuracy, setting appropriate expectations, and following through on service commitments.
