Requirements

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable role
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with IV preparation, compounding, mixing, and order entry
  • Familiarity with purchasing and inventory management processes
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solution-oriented mindset
  • Empathy and a customer-centric approach

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies
  • Assisting pharmacists in the preparation of pharmacy orders and compounding IV medications
  • Managing drug and supply inventory
  • Ensuring that stock levels are sufficient
  • Conducting recalls as necessary
  • Overseeing the clean room environment to meet regulatory standards
  • Preparing orders for shipment
  • Tracking third-party deliveries
  • Addressing any delivery issues
  • Maintaining patient medical records in the absence of the Chief Pharmacist
  • Performing ongoing assessments of patient care needs in the absence of the Chief Pharmacist
  • Processing orders
  • Providing education on home medical equipment use
  • Promoting safe practices
  • Effectively resolving service complaints to enhance overall patient and organizational outcomes
