Successful incumbents manage pharmacy workstations and tasks to promptly, safely, and accurately fill prescriptions while providing excellent customer service. New Pharmacy Technicians must complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Upon completion, there are opportunities to build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge and expertise.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Licensure requirements vary by state
  • The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted (Attention and Focus)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • PTCB National Certification

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met for patients
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks
  • Support the team’s ability to promptly, safely and accurately fill patient prescriptions
  • Provide caring service that exceeds customer expectations
  • Complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
  • Satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements according to your State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines
  • Build clinical, technical and insurance knowledge and expertise by leveraging available tools and training
