About The Position

Longevity Scripts is seeking to fill a Pharmacy Technician position at our pharmacy located in Orlando, FL. This position is responsible for accurately and timely filling residents medication in accordance with company policy and State laws and regulations. EOE/DFWP - We honor those who serve. Essential Job Functions: Maintain inventory, place orders. Check in drugs, stock shelves, remove out of date product Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments. Maintain packaging equipment for calibration. Timely and accurately fill resident medication orders in accordance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Properly prepare orders for final delivery. Complies with all HIPAA regulations. Effectively and harmoniously interacts with facilities, physicians, and other pharmacy employees at all levels; promoting teamwork and demonstrating strong leadership skills and professionalism. Prepares various reports as requested by management, customers and residents. Schedule may include weekend and/or nights

Requirements

  • Current State Pharmacy Technician license and certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • 1-3 years Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Medical Terminology required
  • Good human relation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Patience, tact, enthusiasm, positive attitude and professional manner
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Problem Solving Skills and Critical Thinking Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Brand/Generic drugs preferred
  • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop and lift up to 30 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Order Entry and insurance billing experience preferred
  • IV experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
