Are you a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Tehnician looking to make a meaningful impact on patient care? PanCare of Florida is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacy Technician to join our team! Expected hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some post-secondary education or certification in pharmacy-related fields is a plus.
  • Candidates must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida and in good standing with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of pharmacy terminology and medications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy software and systems is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist in inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with inquiries about medications, prescriptions, and over-the-counter products.
  • Provide professional and friendly service, ensuring that patients' needs are addressed promptly and accurately.
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications in accordance with prescriptions and established procedures.
  • Verify prescription details (e.g., dosage, patient information) and ensure accurate labeling of medications.
  • Manage medication refills and ensure that proper documentation is maintained.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering and restocking medications and pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the pharmacy, ensuring that medications are stored properly.
  • Update and maintain patient records and prescription databases.
  • Process insurance claims and handle any necessary billing-related tasks.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with all pharmacy regulations, including proper record-keeping and inventory tracking.
  • Ensure that pharmacy equipment and tools are properly maintained and functioning.
  • Participate in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, assisting with various tasks as directed by the pharmacist.
