About The Position

At CVS Health, Pharmacy Technicians are crucial in delivering compassionate care, increasing patient access, lowering costs, and improving care quality. They advise patients on prescriptions, help manage chronic and specialty conditions, and play an active role in shaping healthcare's future. Technicians are expected to uphold high professional and ethical standards, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain patient confidentiality. Key to success is managing pharmacy workstations and tasks to promptly, safely, and accurately fill prescriptions while providing excellent customer service. New Pharmacy Technicians must complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and meet all state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Upon completion, they can expand their duties and build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Licensure requirements vary by state
  • The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted (Attention and Focus)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • PTCB National Certification

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate care to patients every day
  • Advise patients on their prescriptions

  • Demonstrate ethical conduct and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Manage all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks

  • Complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program
  • Satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements according to your State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines
