Part-Time Pharmacy Technician
About The Position
Ocracoke Health Center, Inc. is a nonprofit healthcare organization dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our coastal communities. With locations in Ocracoke, Manteo, and Engelhard, we offer primary care, behavioral health, pediatrics, in-house pharmacies, and support for migrant and seasonal farmworkers. Our mission is to be a respectful, accessible, and comprehensive medical home for all. We’re on the lookout for a friendly, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support our busy, mission-driven pharmacy. If you love helping people and want to make a difference in your community, we’d love to hear from you—especially if you’re bilingual (Spanish is a big plus!).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Pharmacy Technician Certification
Responsibilities
- Support Patients: Greet and assist patients in person and on the phone with warmth and professionalism.
- Process Prescriptions: Enter data, prepare medications, and label/package with care and accuracy.
- Stay Organized: Keep supplies stocked, manage files, and help maintain a smooth workflow.
- Be Tech-Savvy: Use pharmacy software to handle prescriptions and insurance claims.
- Pitch In: Collaborate with your team and take on other duties as needed.
