About The Position

Alluvion Health is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join their team in Great Falls, Montana. This role is ideal for someone who values accuracy, teamwork, and supporting patient care. Under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists with prescription processing, medication inventory, prior authorizations, patient medication records, and other pharmacy support functions to ensure excellent patient care. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of pharmacy technician experience
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Montana (PTCB), or ability to obtain licensure within one year

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications
  • Support prescription filling and medication processing
  • Maintain accurate patient medication records and pharmacy documentation
  • Coordinate medication prior authorizations with providers, nursing staff, pharmacists, and patients after training
  • Assist with management of the 340B program
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory, rotate stock, monitor expiration dates, and reorder supplies as needed
  • Receive, store, and organize incoming medication and supply deliveries
  • Help ensure medications are properly packaged, labeled, stored, and within expiration dates
  • Process charges for medications and supplies dispensed
  • Manage cash register transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Prepare select reports and medication administration records
  • Obtain medication histories from patients and enter information into the electronic health record after training
  • Deliver medications to patient care areas as needed
  • Fill medication kits or trays and distribute medication orders per pharmacist request
  • Perform unit inspections and help maintain a clean, organized pharmacy department
  • Answer phones and assist with general administrative pharmacy functions
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities
  • Recognize potential dosing concerns and refer questions to the pharmacist
  • Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned
