Pharmacy Technician - Wilson and Newburg
About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The ideal candidate will support the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities: Assist pharmacists in prescription processing and preparation without exercising professional judgment. Accurately enter prescription, patient, and insurance information into pharmacy systems. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns. Maintain medication inventory, including ordering, stocking, rotation, and expiration monitoring. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping. Support 340B drug pricing program activities, including compliance documentation, and audits, as assigned. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication management. Participate in patient education initiatives regarding medication use and safety. Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the KY Board of Pharmacy.
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy calculations, dosage forms, and medical terminology.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Abilit to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Knowledge of pharmacy software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to a diverse patient population.
