We are currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support our clinical team by assisting with medication-related tasks and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about helping patients navigate their healthcare needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Pharmacy Technician license (must be maintained in good standing)
- Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical principles, medical terminology, and insurance payor requirements
- Excellent communication skills and a welcoming, patient-first attitude
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Willingness to travel to satellite offices as needed
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients, providers, and pharmacy partners
- Process medication refill requests and prior authorizations using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
- Assist patients in accessing pharmaceutical assistance programs
- Maintain, monitor, and track the dispensing of on-site medication samples
- Build and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical representatives
- Field incoming calls from pharmacies to provide prescription clarifications, refill authorizations, and medication interaction support
- Respond to patient phone calls regarding medication questions, concerns, or messages for the provider
- Perform general administrative duties as requested by physicians and office managers
