As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting our licensed pharmacists in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients. You will work in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment, ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Indiana Pharmacy Technician License
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous pharmacy experience
  • Able to select and lift objects from shelves and carry to order filling line.
  • Able to consistently carry 20 – 30 lbs. of merchandise short distances and 15 lbs. of merchandise on an extended basis from order filling station to conveyor.
  • Must be able to walk and stand throughout the entire shift.
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Medication Dispensing:
  • Prepare and label prescription medications for dispensing.
  • Measure, count, and package medications according to prescription orders.
  • Replenish medication in automated cells to full capacity; opening large quantities of bottles and cases of product.
  • Ensure the proper labeling and instructions for patient use on medication containers.
  • Maintain an organized and clean dispensing area.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Conduct regular stock rotation to prevent expiration of medications.
  • Compliance and Regulations:
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
  • Assist in record-keeping and documentation of prescription and medication-related information.
