About The Position

Pharmacy Technician The Pharmacy Technician performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS). Candidates must reside within commutable distance of the following office location: Texas: Plainview Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled, based on operational and departmental requirements.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma -OR- GED
• Upon hire: Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee -OR- Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician License
• Minimum of one (1) year (> 2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification - OR - 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified

Nice To Haves

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program
• Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state
• Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
