Pharmacy Technicians ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance are met, demonstrating ethical conduct and patient confidentiality. Success involves managing assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to promptly, safely, and accurately fill prescriptions, providing caring service. The role is suitable for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and show genuine care for patients. New Pharmacy Technicians must complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties will be restricted initially until all requirements are met, after which there are opportunities to build clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age
Licensure requirements vary by state

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
PTCB National Certification
