About The Position

The Lead Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacy operations by coordinating daily technician workflow, assisting with inventory oversight, and providing guidance and training to pharmacy technicians. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards, supports 340B inventory processes, and contributes to a collaborative, patient-centered care environment.

All technician duties are performed under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a healthcare team
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills

Nice To Haves

• PTCB Certification
• 340B ACE Certification
• CPR and/or First Aid certification
• Knowledge of Joint Commission regulations
• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish, Nepali, and/or French preferred)

Responsibilities

• Support medication preparation, assembly, stocking, and distribution
• Coordinate daily technician workflow and assist with staffing support
• Maintain inventory levels, remove expired medications, and verify orders
• Ensure proper separation and handling of 340B drug inventories
• Assist with technician onboarding, training, and performance support
• Handle cash and prepare deposits in accordance with established procedures
• Maintain accurate pharmacy and patient records
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department
• Assist in updating pharmacy procedures and workflows
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and staff
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned in support of operational needs
