Location: Altru Family Medicine Residency | Pharmacy 725 Hamline St. Grand Forks, ND 58203 Pay Range: $18.82 - $28.23 Summary: The Retail Pharmacy Technician prepares new prescription orders and refills for outpatients in this setting. The technician is involved in all aspects of order intake, data entry and prescription preparation up until the final pharmacist check. This role serves outpatients, hospital staff, delivery patients, and bedside medication delivery patients. The Pharmacy Technician uses their strong communication skills to be able to work alongside with coworkers and other Altru team members to provide all of our patients with seamless and exceptional care. Essential Job Functions: Demonstrates the ability to interact in a positive and helpful manner with patients, visitors, physicians, volunteers, and co-workers. Reflects commitment to building a supportive work environment and maintains a positive attitude. Enters prescription orders. Processes and prepares for the pharmacist to check. Compounds pharmaceutical products such as ointments, creams and other medications according to rules and regulations. Prepares inventory, orders supplies and stocks shelves in the pharmacy. Appropriately uses resources, such as inventory and supplies. Rotates through all work areas of the pharmacy. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
