It’s designed for individuals recovering from serious injuries or illnesses that have affected their ability to function independently. This new, state-of-the-art facility provides intensive, patient-focused rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. It specializes in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and independence after events like strokes, traumatic injuries, or surgeries. How you’ll contribute Supports safe, timely, and accurate medication distribution under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Prepares patient drug orders, restocks medications and automated dispensing cabinets, manages returns, and assists with inventory and order processing in accordance with hospital policies and state regulations.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Registration: Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy as required by state regulations.
  • Certification: Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by state regulations.
  • Skills: Accuracy and attention to detail; ability to follow written/verbal instructions; familiarity with automated dispensing systems and inventory workflows; dependable communication and teamwork; basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and label patient drug orders as directed by the pharmacist.
  • Deliver medications to medication rooms and nursing stations, as appropriate.
  • Review anticipated admissions and medication administration records (MAR) to plan deliveries to automated dispensing machines.
  • Restock usable medications/IVs returned to the pharmacy; file medication orders per department procedure.
  • Replenish automated medication dispensing machines and document activities per policy.
  • Communicate stock utilization and ordering needs; assist with ordering inventory and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Adheres to safety, security, and controlled substance handling procedures.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and supports medication-use quality and compliance initiatives.
  • Works collaboratively with pharmacists, nursing, and materials management to ensure medication availability and timely patient care.
