Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal, and company regulations.
Assists in maintaining adequate inventory levels of drugs and supplies by placing orders to the wholesaler on an as-needed basis.
Maintains medication, product, and supply stock for the pharmacy
Maintains Pyxis unit stock on a daily basis.
Assists in performing monthly unit inspections.
Assures that the pharmacy is kept clean, orderly, and stocked with adequate office supplies.
Completes monthly education as assigned.
Receives and checks for accuracy of the supply orders, completes necessary documentation.
Returns overstocked or unnecessary stock to 3rd party vendor.
Understands and complies with rules and regulations concerning controlled substances and the distribution to the Pyxis units with the required documentation.
Understands specialty equipment, keeps knowledge up-to-date, is a technical resource for others, follows technology, policy & procedures, and standard of practice.
Other duties as assigned.
