About The Position

Silver Lake Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire a full time Pharmacy Technician to work every other weekend to assist the Pharmacists with daily operations of the pharmacy. Pharmacy Technicians earn a competitive wage of $20.00/hour. ABOUT SILVER LAKE HOSPITAL Silver Lake Hospital is a long-term acute care hospital with a reputation of providing patients with a place to heal before heading home. A long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) is an acute care specialty hospital that provides highly advanced and focused care for higher acuity patients who have not responded to short-term treatment in traditional general hospitals. The average length of stay in an LTACH is 25 days as compared to a 3-5 day average stay in a general hospital. Our safe and state of the art hospital is designed to admit and care for the most critically ill patients. POSITION SUMMARY The Pharmacy Technician completes a variety of Pharmacy tasks and services and assists the Pharmacist with daily duties such as filling exchange carts with medications and mixing IV bags. This position does not involve direct patient care for a population of patients between the ages of 18 and older and does require age specific experience, specialized training and/or expertise to serve this population.

Requirements

Valid NJ State Pharmacy Technician License.
Certified Pharmacy Technician certification from a national accrediting organization required upon hire.
A minimum of one (1) year of hospital or LTACH experience preferred.
