About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PRN Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Weekday hours are required. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacy operations, particularly within behavior health care and acute care environments. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications, while also providing exceptional service to patients and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably within hospital settings.
Familiarity with critical care protocols and acute care practices is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to prescriptions.
Provide patient service by addressing inquiries, offering medication information, and supporting medication intake processes.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with healthcare providers.
Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure optimal patient care in acute care settings.
Manage inventory control for medications and supplies, ensuring availability while minimizing waste.
Document medication administration accurately in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
Foster a positive environment that prioritizes patient safety, quality care, and teamwork among healthcare professionals.
