About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Pharmacy Technician license with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP)
  • At least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate basic math
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • National Certification (PTCB)
  • Experience in an FQHC or community/public health setting
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Accurately interpret, process, and fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients and answering medication-related inquiries
  • Handle prescription and over-the-counter medication dispensing with strong attention to detail
  • Manage inventory, including audits and ordering supplies as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace
  • Utilize pharmacy systems and insurance claims software effectively
  • Support pharmacists to ensure smooth workflow and high standards of care
