About The Position

The Mission Neighborhood Health Center (MNHC) is a non-profit, multi-site community health organization offering comprehensive health services in the Mission and Excelsior Districts of San Francisco. The center offers primary health care services, adult medicine, pediatrics, family planning, OB/GYN, HIV and homeless services. We advocate for health equity and deliver innovative, high-quality services responsive to the neighborhoods and diverse communities we serve. We are currently looking for qualified candidates for our Pharmacy Technician role. Please note: This role requires applicants to be bilingual in English and Spanish. This position reports to the Pharmacy Director and is a Regular, Full-Time, Non-Exempt role with an hourly rate of $31.08.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Active, unrestricted California Pharmacy Technician registration issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Completion of a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), or qualifying education and experience meeting California Board of Pharmacy requirements.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and electronic prescription processing.
Working knowledge of third-party insurance billing platforms.
Knowledge of patient eligibility, enrollment procedures, and privacy and security standards.
Strict adherence to patient health and financial information confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and strong customer service orientation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with patients, providers, and team members in a multicultural environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word) and general computer systems.

Nice To Haves

National certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (if supporting immunization services).
One year of retail pharmacy experience.
