The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist at all times. Responsible for reading, interpreting and recording physician drug orders. Responsible for drug and IV admixture distribution throughout the hospital. Responsible for replacing, billing and inspecting nursing station floor stocked medications. Responsible for maintaining drug inventory levels, preparing purchase requisitions, orders all necessary medications and supplies and maintains price updates.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent; preference given to pharmacy technician school graduates.
- Licensed through SCLLR Pharmacy Board is required.
