About The Position
This pharmacy technician position will support pharmacy services at OSF MediPark Pharmacy POSITION SUMMARY: The Retail Pharmacy Technician is responsible for performing general duties, including operating cash register, stocking supplies and merchandise, billing and filling prescriptions, and answering telephone calls. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.
Requirements
- At least 16 years of age and is attending OR graduated from an accredited high school or comparable school or educational institution or GED
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician in current state.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification within 2 years of initial licensure or within 2 years of hire, if the original date of Illinois Pharmacy Technician license is prior to January 1, 2008
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Nice To Haves
- At least 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year pharmacy experience
- Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations
