About The Position

Pharmacy Technician Roseville, MN | Dispensary | Full-Time | Non-Exempt Job Summary Tareen Dermatology is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support our dermatology-specific, in-house dispensary that exclusively serves clinic patients. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate prescription processing, medication dispensing, and exceptional patient service within a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with clinical teams. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and punctuality Preferred 1–2 years of prior healthcare or pharmacy experience Active Minnesota Board of Pharmacy Technician registration Experience with pharmacy computer systems and insurance adjudication Responsibilities Receive and process dermatology-specific prescriptions from providers, ensuring accurate patient information and documentation Process electronic and written prescriptions, including new and refill orders, in a timely and accurate manner Assist with medication preparation and dispensing, including insurance adjudication, counting, labeling, and point-of-sale transactions in accordance with pharmacy policies and regulations Resolve insurance-related issues such as prior authorizations, step therapy requirements, and drug utilization reviews Coordinate with providers, medical assistants, and clinical staff to clarify prescriptions and support continuity of care Respond to patient, employee, and external inquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner Manage inbound and outbound telephone communications as needed Accurately handle cash register transactions and maintain proper documentation Assist with inventory control, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and monitoring medications and supplies Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the dispensary workspace in compliance with regulatory and clinic standards Provide coverage at other clinic pharmacy locations as needed Perform administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role is performed in a clinical dispensary setting. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, with intermittent sitting throughout the workday. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 10 pounds and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, visual acuity, and verbal communication. Schedule 8–10 hour shifts Monday through Friday Day shift No weekends Location Requirements We are hiring for two Pharmacy Technician positions with different primary location needs: Position 1: Hudson-Based Primary location: Hudson clinic Scheduled four (4) days per week in Hudson Position 2: Multi-Clinic Float Primary float schedule includes: Mondays - float to a clinic location based on operational needs Tuesday – Hudson Wednesday – Roseville Friday – Monticello Both positions require the ability to travel to other Tareen Dermatology clinic locations as needed to support patient care and team operations.
