And we do it all with heart, each and every day. Position Summary: CVS Health has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Back-End Dispensing Team in Portland, ME. If you’re detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure patients receive their medications accurately and on time, this could be the perfect role for you. Our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy supports patients with complex conditions such as autoimmune diseases, hepatitis, HIV, oncology, and organ transplants. As a member of the back-end dispensing team, you’ll play a critical role in the medication fulfillment process, ensuring prescriptions are processed, packaged, and prepared for delivery with precision and care. Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM — No nights or weekends!

Requirements

  • Eligible for pharmacy technician licensure in the state of Maine
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or insurance-related fields
  • One year as a pharmacy technician
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make decisions and resolve issues
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Data entry skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous pharmacy technician experience, especially in a fulfillment or dispensing role
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with pharmacy systems and technology
  • CPHT Certification a plus in states that do not require certification

Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill and label prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy regulations and protocols
  • Prepare medications for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and documentation
  • Perform quality checks to verify accuracy of filled prescriptions
  • Support inventory management, including restocking and tracking medication supplies
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to maintain workflow efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
  • Assist with data entry and prescription processing as needed
