The part-time Pharmacy Technician will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. This position will work every other weekend. Pharmacy Location: Located within Hendricks Behavioral Hospital, 1051 Southfield Dr, Plainfield, IN 46168 Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm and Saturday and Sunday 8:00am to 1:00pm Schedule: Every other weekend 8am-1pm
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active Indiana state Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Process prescription orders accurately, including entering patient and prescription data into pharmacy systems
- Assist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiency
- Process medication orders from electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) with accuracy and urgency
- Deliver medications to patient care areas, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and nursing units
- Maintain medication inventory by restocking, tracking controlled substances, and monitoring expiration dates
- Support medication safety initiatives, including double-checks, labeling, and documentation
- Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure timely and safe medication delivery
- Comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state/federal regulations
