Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Arlington is a 40-private bed, state-of-the-art inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, offering exceptional care to the Arlington, TX community. We offer customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State Board of Pharmacy as required by state regulations
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by state regulations
  • Accuracy and attention to detail; ability to follow written/verbal instructions; familiarity with automated dispensing systems and inventory workflows; dependable communication and teamwork; basic computer proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and label patient drug orders as directed by the pharmacist.
  • Deliver medications to medication rooms and nursing stations, as appropriate.
  • Review anticipated admissions and medication administration records (MAR) to plan deliveries to automated dispensing machines.
  • Restock usable medications/IVs returned to the pharmacy; file medication orders per department procedure.
  • Replenish automated medication dispensing machines and document activities per policy.
  • Communicate stock utilization and ordering needs; assist with ordering inventory and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
