The full-time Pharmacy Technician will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. Pharmacy Location: Located within Pulaski Memorial Hospital, 616 E 13th St, Winamac, IN 46996 Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm Saturday and Sunday 8:00am to 12:00pm You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active Indiana state Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
  • Recent work experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital, outpatient, or retail setting
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software
  • Proveb excellent customer service skills including effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Demonstrated ability to process prescription orders accurately, including entering patient and prescription data into pharmacy systems
  • Demonstrated ability to assist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and compound medications (including IV admixtures and sterile products) following hospital protocols and USP standards
  • Demonstrated ability to process medication orders from electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) with accuracy and urgency
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver medications to patient care areas, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and nursing units
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain medication inventory by restocking, tracking controlled substances, and monitoring expiration dates
  • Demonstrated ability to support medication safety initiatives, including double-checks, labeling, and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure timely and safe medication delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state/federal regulations
