About The Position

The Tech I, Nuclear Pharmacy position at Cardinal Health is designed to assist pharmacists and Tech II in pharmacy operations, focusing on the preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals under strict regulatory guidelines. Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• IL State Pharmacy Technician license preferred.
• National pharmacy technician certification preferred.
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Past IV experience is a plus.
• Comfortable performing repetitive motions/tasks.
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment.
• Demonstrated ability to use technology such as computers, smartphones, and tablets.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist and Tech II in pharmacy operations and customer interactions.
• Prepare prescriptions by typing labels and obtaining Staff Pharmacist approval.
• Draw doses into syringes or vials.
• Perform quality assurance tests on instruments and radiopharmaceuticals according to guidelines.
• Receive, document, and store incoming and outgoing pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain computer inventory and records for proper utilization of materials.
• Assist in labeling blood cell products.
• Perform general laboratory and facility clean up.
• Conduct clerical and administrative services, including maintenance of daily records and billing records.
• Make deliveries to accounts using company vehicles as needed.
