About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our New Fairfield location. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists with the preparation and distribution of medications, while also maintaining accurate patient records and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all medications are dispensed accurately and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Additionally, the technician will be expected to maintain the pharmacy inventory, which includes checking stock levels, anticipating medication needs, placing orders, and verifying the receipt of supplies. The role also involves removing outdated drugs from the inventory to ensure patient safety and compliance with pharmacy policies. In this position, the Pharmacy Technician will interact with patients regularly, providing them with information about their medications and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the technician will need to convey important information clearly and effectively. Attention to detail is critical in this role, as accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping is paramount to patient safety. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care and service. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with a flexible schedule that includes rotating weekends and night shifts.
