About The Position
The Dispensary Technician at The Cannabist Company plays a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care under the supervision of a pharmacist. This position involves consulting with qualified patients and caregivers, administering approved medical marijuana products, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. The Dispensary Technician is responsible for patient identification and registration, maintaining accurate records, tracking product inventory, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dispensary. The role requires a commitment to ethical standards and a passion for customer service, as the technician will interact directly with patients in a retail environment. In addition to patient care, the Dispensary Technician will monitor and resolve issues in the prescription fulfillment process, assist the pharmacist in filling prescriptions, and ensure that all products are labeled correctly. The technician will also input patient data and medication orders into the point-of-sale system and enter prescription data into the Virginia State software. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care and support.
