About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician at Kroger is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and direct patient intervention in a pharmacy setting. This role involves assisting pharmacists, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health regulations while creating a safe and inclusive environment for customers and employees. The technician will also engage in health and wellness initiatives and support the community through ethical practices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform pharmacy functions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy clerk or in a comparable role.
• Familiarity with EPRN systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
• Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Manage inventory and ordering functions with wholesalers.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and customer areas.
• Complete billing procedures accurately to ensure best value for customers and the company.
• Answer phone calls and triage inquiries appropriately.
• Understand and adhere to guidelines on accepting vendor coupons and handling cash transactions.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
