Requirements

• Meets Board of Pharmacy requirements to register as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Complete the requirements of the Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
• Process, compound, and prepare medications upon receiving orders from qualified practitioners.
• Fill and deliver drug requisitions from patient care areas.
• Repackage medications and conduct patient billing.
• Restock and order supplies as needed.
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing doses according to department guidelines.
• Record drugs that need to be reordered.
• Demonstrate accuracy in filling initial orders.
• Deliver stat medication orders as needed.
• Make timely rounds in patient care areas.
