Pharmacy Technician (Tech II), Variable Part Time Rotating Shifts, Pharmacy Department
About The Position
Fort Washington Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Pharmacy Technician for our Pharmacy Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Pharmacy Technician you will: • Prepares and delivers medication to Pyxis • Maintains an accurate inventory of medications and supplies by performing inventory management cycle counts and Pyxis unit inspections with electronic documentation • Assess need for and repackage oral solid and liquid medication for dispensing • Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent
- Graduation from an ASHP accredited or PTCB recognized Pharmacy Technician Training Program preferred.
- Licensure as Pharmacy Technician by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of pharmacy experience
- Previous experience with Cerner, Pyxis, Pharmogistics, Carousels.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
