Onco360 Pharmac y has a need for qualified candidates to fill our role of Pharmacy Supervisor - Phone Support . This high-level technician level role is an e xcellent opportunity to join our company and help with our expanding Specialty Pharmacy program! F ull-time position, Monday to Friday - as early as an 8:00am-4:30pm est shift and as late as an 11:30am-8:00pm est shift. . Seeking candidates who live within a commutable distance to our Buffalo, NY pharmacy location. They will work closely with their Pharmacy Technician Manager to ensure completion of all tasks in their designated vertical and meeting goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; scheduling, adjusting personnel to meet work volume needs and service levels, training, employee coaching, and performance management, including disciplinary action when needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, Previous Experience in Pharmacy Intake, Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician
  • 4+ years pharmacy experience, previous leadership experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels of management and staff, vast knowledge of pharmacy terminology and process including sig codes, and roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, advanced typing, math and analytical skills.
  • Registration with Board of Pharmacy as required by state law, Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)
  • Independent worker, good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to work independently, work efficiently to meet deadlines and be flexible, detail-oriented, great time-management skills, leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician, Specialty pharmacy experience
  • 5+ years pharmacy experience, 1+ years supervisor experience
  • Specialty pharmacy operations, leadership skills, independent decision-making abilities, able to conduct research, be resourceful, and self-reliant, excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Supervises pharmacy technician staff in a leadership role to maintain a positive working environment by creating synergy and teamwork to minimize employee relations issues and reduce turnover.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and customers, and successfully resolves issues.
  • Assists Manager in day-to-day pharmacy operations and in implementing new procedures to ensure that the accurate and timely dispensing of quality pharmacy services is consistently delivered to all patients using effective service leadership and customer skills.
  • Phone support- Communicates with patients and physician office staff to resolve issues, coordinate medication deliveries, collect co-payments, answer questions, triage calls to appropriate departments as needed. Inbound calls should be handled using first call resolution customer service practices.
  • Works with pharmacy management to recruit, select, hire, orientate, develop, and train new associates.
  • On an ongoing basis, evaluates, coaches, and utilizes performance management practices to motivate and set expectations for Intake staff.
  • In collaboration with management, drafts and delivers effective corrective action plans and disciplinary action to technicians performing at substandard levels.
  • Manages and reports on daily activity of vertical team members, including monitoring of daily workflow and Pulse reporting.
  • Works with pharmacy management to control operating expenses by effective utilization of personnel, equipment, and supplies to maintain and improve services within approved budget.
  • Works with pharmacy management to gain a thorough understanding and working knowledge of job functions performed by each team member.
  • Works with Intake Manager and/or Director of Pharmacy Operations on other responsibilities, projects, implementations, and initiatives as needed.
  • Performs activities related to the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal laws and REMS programs
  • Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations and compliance with professional practice and patient confidentiality laws.
