The Pharmacy Technician Sterile Compounding is responsible for assisting Pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) and non-sterile drug products. Under the direct supervision of a registered Pharmacist and following established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and USP guidelines, prepares sterile preparations (CSPs) and non-sterile drug products in order to ensure medications are ready and available for administration to the patient. Maintains accurate records utilizing established policies and procedures. Connecticut Children’s is the only health system in Connecticut that is 100% dedicated to children.
