As a pivotal team member, you will have the ability to dive into exciting tasks like preparing and distributing pharmaceuticals, including simple compound preparations. You will assist with inventory control and compliance audits, ensuring our pharmacy runs smoothly. You will provide exceptional customer service and maintain important pharmacy records, working directly with our Manager and Pharmacist, ensuring we deliver top-notch, patient-focused specialty pharmacy services. Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. required; higher level education preferred.
  • Must be Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of operation.
  • Active National Certification verified by PTCB or ExCPT preferred.
  • 1+ years of pharmacy-related experience required.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to speak, read, and interpret complicated verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer proficiency to access, enter, and interpret data.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest level of customer service, whether answering calls or greeting patients in person.
  • Assist with medication preparation, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Prepare products for use, including packaging, repacking, compounding, and bar-coding.
  • Deliver products to patient care areas while maintaining integrity, security, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain proficiency with technology such as automated dispensing machines and barcoding systems.
  • Help with inventory control, including receiving, stocking, and replenishment of stock.
  • Check products for use-by dates and ensure they are suitable for use.
  • Monitor and replenish stock of medications and supplies, communicating needs to Pharmacists.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working area in compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in performance or quality improvement initiatives.
