As a Pharmacy Technician – Revenue Integrity Specialist, you’ll support those that are in our facilities who are interfacing and providing care to our patients and community members to positively impact our mission of making communities healthier ®. More about our team Sovah Health is a regional health care delivery system with 2 hospital campuses – Danville and Martinsville. Each facility has a 24/7 Emergency Room, Outpatient Imaging Center, and over 20 primary and specialty care physician clinics. Our Danville location is also a teaching hospital that trains medical students and physician residents specializing in family and internal medicine.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Virginia state Pharmacy Technician License is required.
  • Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and appropriateness of pharmacy coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes pharmacy billing systems and other patient databases/EHRs to verify drug and quantity given to patient.
  • Accurately enters data, medications, NDC numbers and unit of measure qualifier and quantity given to patient into pharmacy billing systems.
  • Maintains compliance files and documentation in the pharmacy department.
  • Resolves issues that arise from information submitted and/or revenue cycle issues.
  • Works with the pharmacy buyer to manage pharmaceutical supply inventories and pharmaceutical supply ordering.
  • Assists pharmacy technicians in daily duties and may be required to staff as a pharmacy technician as needed.
