About The Position

Responsible for coordinating the ordering of necessary pharmaceuticals, supplies, materials, equipment, and services required for the Pharmacy and various departments of Laredo Medical Center. Ensures hospital values and quality customer service are reflected in all aspects of departmental operations. Requirements

  • Certification and Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
  • Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of purchasing experience may be substituted in lieu of formal training or education
  • Pharmacy Technician License
  • Valid Texas driver's license
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Computer literate with excellent communication and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

  • L-TX-Pharmacy Tech certification
  • BLS (AHA)
  • C-PTCB Pharmacy Tech CPhT certification
  • Two (2) year degree is preferred, but not required
  • College coursework with an emphasis in business or accounting-related courses is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and equipment is highly desirable
