About The Position
The PRN Pharmacy Technician position at PharmD on Demand is designed for individuals who are eager to assist in providing essential pharmaceutical services within a hospital setting. This role is particularly suited for those looking to gain experience in both hospital and retail pharmacy environments, as the technician will be cross-trained to cover both areas as needed. The position requires working one weekend per month and additional shifts on an as-needed basis at Effingham Hospital in Springfield, GA. It is important to note that this is not a remote or work-from-home position, and no prior hospital pharmacy experience is required. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by providing medication and drug information to patients, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel. Your responsibilities will include receiving and storing incoming deliveries of medications and supplies, maintaining an accurate inventory of pharmacy supplies, and reordering items as necessary. You will also be expected to demonstrate proficiency in calculating dosages for a diverse patient population, ranging from newborns to the elderly.
