About The Position

As a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice at Walgreens, you will play a crucial role in providing patient-centric care in a pharmacy setting. Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

• Entry-level position with a focus on customer service and pharmacy operations.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for accurately filling prescriptions.

• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Utilize pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Assist in scheduling and maintaining workflow in the pharmacy.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies regarding pharmacy errors.
• Register all related sales on the assigned cash register and handle cash as required.
• Assist in inventory management activities, including ordering and unpacking pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Pharmacy Department.
• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program.
