Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is essential; a graduate from an accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program is required.
Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is mandatory.
Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy is necessary.
Proficiency in mathematical operations pertinent to retail pharmacy activities.
Current BLS/CPR certification is vital.

Nice To Haves

Two years of prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
Experience in community pharmacy and pharmacy logistics is advantageous.
