About The Position

Responsible for the preparation, storage, and distribution of medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Training as per State Board of Pharmacy requirements
• Acute care experience preferred
• Knowledge of trade/generic drug names and aseptic technique for IV preparation
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Sufficient typing skills for computer order entry
• General understanding of pharmacy computer applications
• Ability to use common reference material
• Ability to withstand stress in a high activity area
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Pharmacy Technician License is required
• BLS or ACLS required (ICH/QVH only)
• Annual 2 hours of stroke education required for those working at QVH
