About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician Outpatient II at Froedtert Health is responsible for providing technical and clerical assistance to pharmacists in processing medication orders and monitoring drug therapy. This role involves procuring, measuring, compounding, counting, and delivering medications under pharmacist supervision, while also assisting in home delivery patient management and prescription capture. The position is on-site at the Froedtert Hospital facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and operates on a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with no weekend or holiday work required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and clerical assistance to pharmacists in processing medication orders.
  • Monitor drug therapy and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations.
  • Procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under pharmacist supervision.
  • Assist home delivery pharmacists in daily activities to enhance patient management and prescription capture.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their medications and services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
