About The Position

Soleo Health is seeking a Part-Time Office Infusion Center Pharmacy Technician to support our Specialty Infusion location in The Woodlands, TX. Join us in Simplifying Complex Care! The Office Infusion Center (OIC) Pharmacy Technician provides clinical support services and aseptic mixing and dispensing of sterile pharmaceutical products under the direction of a Physician, Registered Nurse (RN), or other appropriately licensed provider as required by state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed in the state of Texas as a Pharmacy Technician
  • PTCB or NHA Certification Required
  • Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with current registration and/or certification
  • High school diploma. Some college credits are preferred
  • Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with inventory management and medication preparation of IVIGs
  • Preferred 1 year of experience working as a pharmacy technician performing aseptic mixing and dispensing of sterile pharmaceutical products

Responsibilities

  • Aseptic mixing and dispensing of sterile pharmaceutical products
  • Demonstrates understanding of aseptic and sterile tabletop medication preparation
  • Performs daily medication preparation for OIC patients according to policies and procedures
  • Organizes the receipt of patient medications from outside Specialty Pharmacies to ensure continuity of care for all patients
  • Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates patient communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with provider and nursing staff
  • Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into relevant Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
  • Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy room in accordance with company policy and OSHA regulations
  • Assists with cleaning and maintenance of infusion suites and equipment
  • Participate in company’s quality assurance, performance improvement, and regulatory and compliance programs
  • Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors
  • Dispose of all shipping waste materials
  • Participates in the monitoring of safe storage requirements of medications and supplies. This includes but is not limited to refrigerator temperatures, room temperatures and locking of related doors and cabinets
  • Completes regularly scheduled inventory counts and works with relevant team members to reconcile discrepancies
