About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician (Non-Certified) position at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is designed for individuals who are enrolled in a pharmacy technician training program. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the technician will assist in various pharmacy activities, including preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role is crucial in supporting the pharmacy department as the new hospital prepares to open in early 2025, providing essential healthcare services to the community.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled in a Board approved pharmacy technician training program.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, including generic and brand names of medications.
• Understanding of the chemical and physical properties of drugs.
• Ability to perform work accurately and with attention to detail.
• Ability to work cooperatively with hospital and pharmacy staff.
• Ability to handle interruptions and adapt to workload changes.
• Ability to set priorities and solve problems.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
