About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician at McLaren Health Care is responsible for preparing medications for various medical services under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining inventory, and assisting in the overall pharmaceutical care provided to patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mathematical proficiency.
• Data entry experience.
• Active State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician License.

Responsibilities

• Prepares medications using appropriate techniques in accordance with physician orders and McLaren Lapeer Region policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
• Prepares medications including I.V. admixtures, unit dose, bulk medications, and compounded medications as needed.
• Maintains proper inventory levels of pharmacy supplies throughout the hospital, including automated dispensing units (e.g., Omnicell, Pyxis).
• Inputs daily charges and credits into the computer.
