Position Summary : The Pharmacy Technician Manager provides daily, front-line operational leadership for assigned pharmacy department functions and personnel, including staffing, scheduling, and real-time coverage of pharmacy technician services. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of pharmacy distribution and support services across the health system while working in close collaboration with pharmacist leadership. The Pharmacy Technician Manager operates within all State and Federal laws, regulatory and accreditation standards, Health System and Departmental policies and procedures, and established ethical and professional standards. Decisions are made independently within defined authority and collaboratively with pharmacist and system leaders when clinical or regulatory oversight is required. This position has authorized access to patient, financial, and organizational confidential information, non-controlled and controlled medications, and designated hospital funds, consistent with policy and regulatory requirements. The Pharmacy Technician Manager supports pharmacy services for patients of all age groups and is expected to provide direct operational support and staffing coverage when necessary to maintain safe and effective pharmacy operations. The position may be assigned responsibility for Ambulatory, Acute Care, and/or Pharmacy Support Services.
