About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician Liaison at Logan Health plays a crucial role in providing integrated support to patients and pharmacists, focusing on total quality patient care. This full-time position involves delivering medication adherence support and collaborating closely with patients and clinicians to enhance patient outcomes in a specialty pharmacy setting.

Requirements

  • Montana Pharmacy Technician licensure required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years Pharmacy Technician experience required.
  • Nationally certified as a CPhT or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of transplant, hepatitis C, infectious disease (including HIV), and/or oncology preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word required.
  • Ability to quickly learn other software programs and extract relevant information required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
  • Self-starter with critical thinking skills and ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations with professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional customer care to hospital patients through custom medication management services.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to serve patients effectively.
  • Educate prospective pharmacy patients on hospital services and their benefits.
  • Support outpatient retail and specialty prescription medication needs.
  • Grow the specialty pharmacy's patient population according to department protocols.
  • Ensure patients adhere to medication regimens and manage refill prescriptions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding various reports and appointment lists.
  • Assist leadership in developing new processes for smooth operations and patient care.
  • Identify medications requiring special storage and handling.
  • Perform refill reminder calls under pharmacist supervision.
  • Resolve insurance-related issues and assist patients with financial assistance forms.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation in required systems and tracking mechanisms.
  • Organize and update relevant data using database applications.
  • Apply observations and recommendations to improve operational issues and customer service standards.
  • Act as a value-added business partner to stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Participate in educational opportunities to update knowledge.
