About The Position
Each Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacists in the various functions of the Department, including dispensing and order filling responsibilities, compounding both sterile and non-sterile medications, inventory controls, and prepackaging.
Requirements
- High School Diploma is required.
- Valid National Pharmacy Technician Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program is required
- Registration with the New York Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician is required
- Must achieve Pharmacy Technician Certification within 1 year of hire date.
Nice To Haves
- Hospital pharmacy or community pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
